A true focal point at the heart of the La Ravoire campsite (Haute-Savoie, 74), the new playground stands out as a must-visit space for families, visible from the site’s key communal areas. It fully contributes to the overall holiday experience by offering a dynamic, friendly space tailored to children.
Launched at the end of 2019, the campsite renovation work included the bar, the restaurant, and the existing playground, which had become outdated after more than 30 years of use. In a context where outdoor hospitality is experiencing significant growth, the campsite aimed to modernize its facilities to enhance its attractiveness and meet the expectations of families.
Impressed by the diversity and quality of the offering, the campsite chose to place its trust in Proludic to design a new play area that would match its ambitions. The project was built around an immersive theme: “The children’s island in a paradise of games”, featuring equipment designed for children up to 10 years old, across an area of approximately 200 m².
In recent years, outdoor hospitality has been increasingly popular among holidaymakers looking for new, relaxing destinations closer to nature. Campsite attendance has risen significantly, especially for well-equipped sites, and in 2020 we saw that the health crisis we were experiencing further reinforced this trend. A children’s playground is essential—it’s one of the key factors that leads holidaymakers to choose one destination or campsite over another. That’s why we decided to renovate the playground, which, in my view, is an essential facility for any campsite.

A complete and immersive play space for all children
Installed on brightly colored synthetic grass, the playground blends harmoniously into its natural surroundings, between Lake Annecy and the Alpine landscape. At the heart of the layout, a 5.40-meter-high multi-activity nature tower immediately catches the eye and structures the entire space.
Accessible via various climbing modules (arched ladder, net wall, or rope ladder), this structure can accommodate up to 32 children simultaneously. A flexible walkway allows movement between platforms, while two slides, including a spiral one, provide fun and dynamic descents. Play panels, such as the Flowers panel or the Trombino play table, enhance the play experience by stimulating thinking, coordination, and imagination.
For younger children, a playhouse from the Diabolo range offers a suitable motor skills course, featuring perforated panels, a suspended ring, and a tunnel that can be used as a hiding spot. A sheltered area also encourages moments of calm and interaction.
Around this main structure, several dynamic equipments promote group play. The Gyrospeed roundabout, which can accommodate up to 8 children, and the basket swing, designed for 5 users, encourage sharing and social interaction. Finally, the Aéroskate, inspired by snowboarding, offers children aged 6 and over sliding sensations and stimulating balance challenges.

An essential facility for the campsite
This new playground was already a great success with our guests last year. Without a doubt, this new space helps us stand out and build customer loyalty, both among adults and children—the latter being the main influencers of summer holiday choices.

A true driver of attractiveness, this playground perfectly illustrates the central role of play areas in the customer experience within outdoor hospitality. By offering a comprehensive, visible, and age-appropriate space, the campsite strengthens its positioning and provides families with a must-visit living area, ideal for creating shared memories.
