The activities gradually become narrower, higher and more challenging. Children can gain a foothold on the rounded beams, moving gangways and flexible ropes. Various techniques are used to cross the different items of play equipment. Those techniques gradually scale in complexity to help children coordinate their movements and control their bodies in space.
