At the Carantec campsite, an impressive play tower now dominates the recreational area, connecting two playgrounds situated at different levels and creating a true adventure course for children. This spectacular structure transforms the playground into a vertical exploration zone where children climb, cross, and slide between different levels.
Already equipped with a Proludic playground installed several years earlier, the campsite wanted to modernize and expand this space to enhance the experience offered to families. The goal was to create a new, complementary play area while preserving the existing one designed for younger children.
The site’s configuration, featuring two distinct topographical levels, inspired an original design concept: linking the two playgrounds through a large central structure, thereby creating a seamless play experience between the spaces.
To bring this vision to life, Proludic proposed a large tower from the Kanopé range, inspired by the standard J56103 model and custom-adapted to integrate perfectly with the site. One of the slides was notably transformed into a tube slide, allowing children to glide from the new elevated play area down to the existing playground below. The result is a spectacular two-level play installation offering an immersive and dynamic play experience.
A large Kanopé Tower as a link between the two spaces
As the true centerpiece of the project, the Kanopé structure invites children to venture into a nature-inspired world.
The structure consists of two large towers—one reaching 6 meters in height and the other 8 meters—offering children a particularly immersive vertical play experience. Connected by a suspended net tunnel, these two towers invite young adventurers to move about at height, manage their balance, and progress safely from one space to another.
To reach the platforms, children can take different access routes: climbing ladders, a climbing wall, or a fireman’s pole, all of which develop coordination, agility, and motor skills. Once at the top, they can enjoy several slides, including the spectacular tube slides that lead down to the lower-level playground.
The structure is also equipped with interactive play panels that enrich the play experience and stimulate children’s imagination.
Thanks to this original design, the Carantec campsite now boasts a spectacular two-level play space offering a rich and varied experience for children of all ages. Linking the existing area to a new zone dedicated to older children, the Kanopé tower has become a major attraction at the heart of the campsite, helping to boost the site’s appeal and enrich the enjoyable moments shared by vacationing families.
