This development project, initiated by the city of Vallauris in collaboration with Proludic, is part of a broader urban revitalization initiative aimed at enhancing public spaces. The playground naturally found its place in the heart of a natural pine forest, a true green lung for the municipality.
The city’s objective was clear: to create a lively meeting place for families, a welcoming space that encourages interactions between generations, while bringing a natural and calming touch to the urban environment. To meet this ambition, Proludic supported the city in designing and installing a wooden playground that is both aesthetically pleasing, durable, and perfectly integrated into the surrounding landscape. The choice of a wood chip surface further strengthens this natural integration. The project was carried out in consultation with the landscape architect in charge, ensuring that the expectations of the local authority were fully respected.
Covering an area of 562 m², the playground is made up of several distinct play zones, organized according to children’s ages and skill levels.
- The toddler area, accessible from the age of 2, features play elements to manipulate, climb, and slide within a single structure, the Medieval Village, encouraging children’s first sensory and motor discoveries in a safe environment.

- The area for older children, from the age of 3, is centered around a wooden observatory tower, offering children a panoramic view of the park and an adventurous space that stimulates imagination.

- In total, 13 play elements punctuate the space: climbing structures, slides, swings, rope structures, balancing trails… all activities designed to develop motor skills, coordination, and self-confidence while encouraging collective play.

Thanks to this development, the City of Vallauris now offers its residents a new convivial and natural living space. The site has also been complemented by landscaping and redesigned access paths, ensuring comfort and safety for all users.
