Since 2007, the "Child-Friendly Schools" model has set up centres in 7 districts of Mozambique. The programme seeks to improve the quality of the basic education provided in primary schools and provide a sound, protective educational environment for children. Almost 300,000 children are concerned, in 750 primary schools.
Thanks to this partnership, PROLUDIC is contributing to development of a wide range of activities such as construction and rehabilitation of school buildings, latrines and water points, supply of school equipment, teacher training, HIV/aids prevention and good practices in everyday life, protection of the most vulnerable children and implementation of health care services, and so on. |
